Time to update the blog. Every day brings us closer to kicking this cancer in the rear. But not everyday do we have something to report. Time heals and lots of rest.

Danielle was givin the okay by her doctor to return home finally after a month in St. George. She so much enjoyed getting to sleep in her own bed and feel normal for a week. Spending quality time with Jeremy and Elley boosted her moral and strength. Elley was exstatic to see her baby sister and had her hair in many styles!

Chemo day came around again yesterday and a visit with her doctor proved to be positive. Dr. Rupard could see progress from the chemotherapy and that made our day. Also that the genetic testing came back with a negative result meaning that once this ordeal is over and the cancer is eliminated from her body, it should never return and Hanna and Elley could end up with a brother or sister in the future. So we were smiling when we left. We are still so grateful to everyone praying for a complete recovery. God is sending us miracles everyday.

We try to stay positive always. Danielle was worried about getting some of her mail sent off and after she dropped it in the post office  box she stated " Well, I'm glad that is out of my hair." We both started to laugh. Wouldn't it be easier if we could just get rid of our troubles by shaving our hair off. There would be a lot of bald people out there.

Feb 03, 2012      Hannah LoriAnn Christensen

Danielle had the port put into her upper left chest last Tuesday. Everything went well. While the nurses were preparing her for the surgery. One of the nurses mentioned that the other nurse made the best cheese cake ever and in a pressure cooker. After the surgery was over and she was resting they presented her with a piece of cheese cake. (YUM) She loved it.  So if anyone knows how to make pressure cooker cheese cake please send the recipe to us. She said  that that cheese cake was worth the surgery.

Today, we went to the dermatologist again for hives. The last two days have been rough. Danielle's face has been swollen and puffy and she feels like a one eyed cyclops. She feels that if we could just get that under control she could deal with the other stuff associated with the chemo. treatment. The Dr. put her on another medicine with hopes that this time it will go away for good.

Little Hannah is growing fast and sleeping a little longer at night. Which is great because Grandma Lori gets night duty for awhile.  One thing we have noticed with Hanna is she likes to honk in her sleep. She makes a little noise like a goose which makes us laugh.

Next Chemo. treatment is coming up on Feb. 08th. Please keep her in your prayers.
